Hey team,
I’m trying to get in the habit of sending out this newsletter once a week on Wednesdays, so sorry for the double email this week!
At good ole Emory, we had this thing called Wonderful Wednesdays and perhaps this is my attempt at bringing them back. Everyday should be wonderful, but I find that I often need a little pick-me-up in the middle of the week. I hope this newsletter can eventually serve as a midweek mood-booster for this little community. Feel free to send recommendations or ideas for future posts.
Today, I’m just going to share a favorite poem of mine. It’s by June Jordan, a personal literary fave. The poem is called “I Must Become a Menace to My Enemies.” Don’t be surprised if—in a couple of years or so—you see me with a tattoo paying homage to that title, because, whew.
Happy reading! Go be great and be kind to yourselves.
